About this site

A person is handed a prescription and pays whatever the chemist charges. They are almost never told that a Jan Aushadhi medicine with the same salts, at the same strengths, made in a WHO-GMP certified factory, exists at a fraction of the price.

This site answers two questions and nothing else. Is there a Jan Aushadhi version of this, and is it the same medicine? And where do I get it?

We are not a government service

We are an independent company. We have no connection to the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India or to the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana, and we do not speak for them. We say this plainly because someone who believes this is an official service will trust a wrong price more than they should.

What we deliberately do not do

  • We do not sell medicines or take orders.
  • We do not ask you to create an account.
  • We do not run advertising.
  • We do not record what you searched for.
  • We do not guess a substitute when we have not mapped one.

Where the data comes from

Published Jan Aushadhi price lists and a commercial medicine catalogue, matched on composition. Where a figure looks implausible we would rather show nothing than show it. If you find something wrong, please tell us.
